    people who branch out and try new stuff like this are brave souls-i wouldnt do it as i know jack about conversions but would it not be easier (given youre moving and you want a running car for the summer - its already BST by the way!!) to just sell or strip your 1.6 and buy a GT and cut all the potential hassle and expense out? job done.

    Not sure if you were looking for lots more potential out of the 1.6 over the 1.4 - maybe someone else can fill you in on whether its really worth all the time and effort youll put in vs the results.

    It's easy I'm doing this alreadythe basic things you need are slightly lower c/r and all gt parts that's about it to make it a standard 1.6 version of the 1.4
