Thumbs up can anyone help me find a replacement engine???

    hey guys

the previous owner of this vehicle didnt know what the oil light meant and ran it with pretty much no oil in for a bit till sumthing in the bottom end of the engine when boom and now when it runs it sounds like a jack hammer,

so ive been told its either the big ends nakerd or needs a new engine wich ever works out cheaper to fix it,

could anyone help me solve this problem or point me in the direction of where i can buy a 1.2 fiat engine im not sure if its a 8v or a 16v engine,

if anyone could help i would be very greatful heres 2 pics of the engine

    First of all it's a 8 valve
Secondly what engine do you want to put in it
This is the perfect opportunity to put what you want in

umm im not sure what would go in without having to change loads of majour parts,

i think i just want to replace this on with the same engine then sell it when it passes a MOT and runs fine

i dont see many people breaking the mk 2s 1.2s for engine transplants or anything like that. have you tried your local breakers yard.

when i had a mk 1 60 s engine done at an engine shop it cost in the region of 600 piounds but this was 8 or 9 years ago.

a 2nd hand engine would be your best bet. unless you are capable of doing an engine build yourself.

in which case cost is depending on the damage that has been done.
