    Mk1 Fiat Punto Bertone 1.2 16v Cabriolet

Ok, so my misses has been driving for 6 months now and wanted something different and with a bit more poke then her 59hp 1.0 16v Micra Active. Shes been searching and searching for weeks for one of these and there bloody hard to find now so in Jan 2011 we ended up getting this, the only black one we could find. Its a 1998 Fiat Punto Bertone 1.2 16v Cabriolet.

If it was mine then I'd love to but it's my wife's and iam just doing all the work on it. Needs to stay as a 1.2 really as she's a newish driver and the 1.2 is pretty nippy as it is and it needs to be reliable and fuel efficient as it's going to be her daily when the projects completed. That's why iam replacing all the obvious parts for new as I didn't really get any service history with it other then new cambelt and water pump.

Next thing on the list are 35mm spax springs as it looks like an ant on stilts, 4 new tyres, new wishbones and powerflex bush everything on the front. Then a new head gasket, then on to sone more interior work as I can't stand the grey plastic and blue interior look.

Well fitted the front shocks and springs with new bolts at the front, just need to collect the rear lower damper bolts tomorrow to finish the rear off. Looks soooo much better with the 35mm spax springs. While i was there i painted the calipers black. Will get more pics up tomorrow when i finish the rear off.

edit: that rust on the inner arch lips need sorting aswell, lucky thats about all the rust thats on it just on the front wing arches.
