i know people with mk5's and they keep going wrong, and i know people with mk6's with no problems- but then again the mk5's are on like 70k+ miles and the mk6's are on like 30k.
After 2 years of my Punto and nothing but money after money I think it's time to move on to something else and the fiesta zetec s is the car I'm aiming at, I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them?

Mark 5 is way too old now.. will be a mark 6.5

I can't fault my Mk6.5 Zetec-S TDCI. It's been a great little workhorse. Dirt cheap to run and maintain, doesn't look too shabby and isn't painfully slow with a remap. I Average about 55mpg all day long mixed driving, the highest I've seen is 66mph. Not had a single problem with it. Decently equipped, half leather seats, A/C, electric everything.
Tbh with the diesel avaliable the petrol model isn't really worth a look-in. The diesel is faster with a map, more economical and cheaper to run. £30 a year tax
Ive just bought a mk7 econetic which is the 1.6 diesel with 95hp. Not too slow, but I'm still on my first tank after 550 miles and Im getting 63-69mpg at the moment. Its supposed to do 77mpg - which we will see but its certainly a lot cheaper than driving the Porsche to work.

Well yeah. Boxster is fun and I want to keep it that way! Driving it every day would ruin it.
