Welding's so much hassle though, it's much easier to strip a whole car, (try to) sell all the parts you've removed, trips to the post office, waiting in waiting for people to collect parts, buy another car, change insurance
I'm only holding out for now because ive wanted to do my conversion for yeats an want to actually finish something, plud, never actually thought i would start it

and tbh ive fancied a S15 for quite a while now also. but your project is so close to completion, all the effort of getting the cage welded, painted, the dash flocked and all the over stuff fitted. i cant wait till my projects as close to being finished as yours! i know i scraped my first shell due to rust but would have repaired it if it weren't for having another one lined up ready. and if i were in your shoes would feel the only thing to do would be repair it. either get it on the road and enjoy it, or buy an S15 for your daily and get a trailor so you can tow it to some drag strips and track's. or sell it?
I see what the OP is saying tbh, I have lost the love for Punto's aswell, It just seems as though no matter what you do, they're back again having more and more and more and tbh it's not like the engine can't go into another mark 1 shell.
Personally I'd brake and get the S15, and yes an escort rs turbo will always be worth more than a pgt.
if your planning to not modify the s15 then keep away from sxoc mate lol, that place is bad for your wallet
awesome choice in car, but nissans rust too, only difference with the s15 is they dont have the salty roads in japan so there isnt that factor to speed up the process.
been hard at work out there today stripping the engine down cam box is of head is off alloy rads out fmic is off, ic 50mm pipes off. piston crowns seem in good nic as is the head no cracks but then it did only do 300miles after rebuild before i took if of the road again. just about to start a sale thread hope you all have your wallets out haha..
