I don't like macs, but iOS is ok and even better with a JB.
I have had a HTC desire which I believe runs android. It was subsequently sent back because it was awful compared to the wifes 3GS. Shame really as the phone itself was lovely. Basically yeah, its a poormans alternative.
Missus' mum's galaxy is a nightmare to use, its as if anroid is based on Samsungs on OS, which is BS.

Imo an I-phone is the better choice for those with other Apple products such as Macs etc as the compatibility is so much better. And of course it's an Apple product so it makes you really cooooool
Other than that my HTC Desire HD is pretty awesome. Bigger than an I-phone but that's what I wanted. The screen is top-class, videos look so much better than on the I-phone 4, the camera is far better, it has more RAM, Android has a lot more flexibility than Apple BUT it's not as easy to use.
Anyways, the I-pad is just another dust collector as said!
i have my iphone4 and my mate has HTC HD desire. We back to back tested them, on a few things, and proved that the iphone loads alot quicker than the android. Same location, same network provider and same websites and the iphone was atleast a second quicker

Gotta laugh at this. I bought the google phone when it first came out. What a joke that was! Piece of shite lol. Then for some unknown reason decided to get an xperia x10, also android. Another w*nk phone 75% of the time!
Still would rather this than an iphone purely for the fact that everyone has one..
