check for rust underneath and rear arches before anything maybe?
Hi, toying with the idea of getting the GT back on the road as it's been sat for a couple of years with no use.
May need to source a few items from someone breaking a GT possibly.
From memory had a small fuel leak on the last outing and since it's been sat for a while the discs are looking worse for wear.
Any advice on any preps to do before charging the battery and turning it over for the first time in a while? Oil and water both fine at the moment.
quick couple of pics and the also the reason it's been sat.(-; If pics work of course..
Any advice appreciated and also maybe someone breaking a GT...

love the coupe mate, the wheels are lovely!!
Before you try to start it turn it over without any spark to get the oil flowing around the engine.
the fuel leak is more than likely coming from the kneck of the tank so replace with a plastic one is best.
if the disc were in good condition before going rusty then a bit of elbow grease could get them back into shape. todd done it one his 200x discs and turned out well.
yeah will do. All looking solid, except laquer on the roof and bonnet seems to be peeling leaving paint to become a bit dull.
Thanks, yeah the coupe has kept me out of the GT for some time, but still miss nipping around in the GT and can;t bring myself to part with it.
YUMMY :P
Discs should be ok, give them a clean up with some emery paper, the pads will do the rest they will look fine in no time.
May aswell keep it mate, theyre cheap tax & insurance!
cheers for the comments and advice. Hopefully won't cost too much to get up and running, taxed and insured.
Waiting for some nice weather and then make a start I think.
Its been sunny all day man what more do you want
