lol, I drove a GT1 with no rear inner arches and only 1 rear shock all the way from sheffield to Malta lol !! that is about a 1600 mile drive !!!! with no cover I must say hahah

the quick bodge im thinking of is slapping a cheap head on, new belt, roughly shimmed up and just enough to get you home and repair the engine properly later.

Changing the head at the side of the road, quick bodge?

Well no offence...but nobody is anywhere near you so just call your family and friends wo are more likely to be local.
Please don't criticise everybodies morals when you are sat there on your phone contacting the PSC massive while your week old baby is 'freezing and shivering'. Try taking off your jumper/coat and covierng you kid....that's covering not smothering.

Next point....where's mum? Give her a call ffs...that's the logical first step, mum, grandparents, uncles/aunts.....PSC is the last bloody people I'd bother asking for a lift if I had a newborn with me.

As for the car....if the belt has snapped chances are the engines pretty much fooked anyway so it's highly unlikely anyone here will be able to do a temporary fix at the roadside short of bringing a new engine with them and installing that for you while you wait.

Totally feel for you Ben, did you check when the cam belt was last done?

Personally though i wouldnt of bothered asking anyone on here for help mate, you'll get laughed at before you get help. Priorities are always right

Anyway if i would of been online and seen this i would of helped, Would of been 30 miles for me and you would of had to leave the GT but would of got you and baby home.
