a good run indeed ( i think standard GTs run around high 14s-15s on a 1.4 motor) but was the honda turbocharged or standard if your gunning off a level playing field ? I'll back the Punto GT to the hilt against more powerful or bigger capacity motors and if the honda was turbocharged (or supercharged maybe?) then you seriously kicked its rear.

if it was standard 197bhp then youve got to fair to the CTR, its got no torque without the forced induction advantage and id put money on the punto all day long out of the blocks. you might be running a hundred kilos or two lighter as well.
197 turbo horses plays 197 NA horses could spell a bit of a hollow victory?
be good to see how she fairs against a GT with the standard motor.

Standard GT is mid 15s with a half decent driver.

Standard GT around 15.7, seb 2 GT about 15.1, they are my findings anyway.

I did 15.6 in mine. Have heard of a few 15.5s before. All mine had was a Scorpion exhaust.

have you got a lsd/quafe diff? what gearbox retio you running? size tires?

So your telling me a mk3 astra with 150bhp redtop is in the 12s?!?

I've had metros with more power, less weight and struggled to get mid 14s! So I suggest you think before typing more ****!

13.5 on stock lump, turbo is very respectable!
