GT insurance.

Hi, i'm new to this forum but i'm very interested in buying a GT. Only real issue i have is the insurance for one. I'm 19 now with 2 years driving experience under my belt and a years no claims.

Now, i'm just wondering if anybody has any ideas of how much i could expect to pay for insurance and the best place to look for it?

I insured a GT with the same circumstances as you last year for £1300 with chris knott, flux wanted about £100 more. Insurance has gone up now but i suspect you could compare flux, sky and chris knott for a decent deal

Phoned up all of the above and it isn't good news . Flux gave me a silly quote of about 6000 and its similar in most other places. I ont really understand why it is s much when others have got it so much cheaper.

Anybody got any suggestions?

Shouldnt be too bad, i pay 165 a month for my 5 with 1 years no claims. Its group 14 same as your PGT

Your kinda in the same boat as me but i have 0 NCB. im a year older thoe so this helps.... not by much thoe. I was getting quotes of 5-6k. in the end i put myself as the main driver and the parents on my policy. £2500 or there abouts . Go for admiral or elephant they seemed to be the only ones that were low by doing this. If you can pay it off in go which i know is hard but my insurers (elephant) gave me a quote of £1400. I tried getting a loan as it was cheaper topay bak than the insurance but my bank didnt allow me as i was 20. Hope this helps

Say it's modified - it's cheaper with companies like flux, sky and chris knott usually. Even if you stick a filter on or debadge it somewhere
