    Yup and the review is correct on the specs as the gt engine has 153nm and the 16vt has a nice 290nm, and people jumping in this thread saying a gt has over 200nm on a standard engine without overboost is just WTF and if they dont know the difference between kgm and nm dont bother posting at all just stay quiet.

    I cannot believe you think the GT has 113lb torque as standard. The GT was faster in mid range than other hot hatches because of this.

    Now, if you work out what power what you believe to be 'peak' ie full boost is of 113lbs torque at peak power of what it says to be 5750rpm

    Power = torque * (rpm / 5252)

    hp = 113 * (5750 / 5252)

    Which would mean only 123hp. Something the GT has more power already, so technically at peak power which we know the turbo boost is restricted by the Pierburg valve down to 0.8bar its actually making 118lbs. Which is more than you believe to be peak.

    Now since when did you see a GT torque curve that is flat from 3000-5750 You didnt, it drops off.

    153lbs is normal. I've even seen in my days when the pierburg lets you run 1.6bar peaks of over 200lbs torque.

    Now...

    Consider yourself owned

    Yes i admit the figures are mixed up throughout all this

    Max Power: 133bhp @ 5750 rpm for the gt3 or there abouts
    Max Torque: 153lbs/ft (204Nm) @ 3000 rpm

    and yes I did know the torque does tail off as that is the major downfall of the gt it loses puff very quickly thats why I did GB for dawes devices which helps keep the power on higher through the revs with a chip like this or a seb helps solve the problem of keeping the power there when you need it.

    And can I ask why did you coment in the first place were you looking to P!$$ someone off today or are you just looking to pick on someone?

    Dear buddy, it was a very good copy and paste, but lbft and Nm are different units of the torque. The page you used is not correct

    153ftlb is 207Nm, as normally is used as SI unit

    http://www.mr2ownersclub.com/converter.htm

    mk1 1.3 UnoTie engine has 147Nm
    mk2 1.4 UnoTie engine has 164Nm <-this is higher than your page says for the overboosted PGT

    Both engine's max boostpressure is far less than 1bar(13psi), and PGT engine has 1.3bar in overboost. More boost -> more torque. And even the PGT's camshaft is also a bit wilder as stock

    I think the 1301 cam belt was wider than the Punto GT I used one on my 1600 engine.

    Even when you maximize the boost with the stock IHI turbo over 1.6bar with a Dawes thing, the pressure falls down when the engine revs higher and higher, around 5500rpm you have no more than 1bar boost, even when the wastegate's vacuumpipe is totally missing or cutted or melted
    The stock turbo can't breathe the engine enough on full load.
