I was quoted £5500 for an Impreza P1 not long before i bought the Evo, feck knows why the Imprezas are even worse on insurance!
I was told by insurers when i was deciding which to get that the imprezas are stolen more than evos and are involved in more accidents.

Whether thats true or not i dont know, but now trying to get insured on an evo is an absolute nightmare

Get an impreza, there is a nice wagon for sale on here

you can get insured at your age if you use a specialist for an impreza, Keith Michaels are very good so if you do go down the impreza route give them a shout

Ring up a few insurance companies and they'll laugh you off the phone if you want to insure an Impreza.

People can insure Evos and Imprezas at 20-21, but you're looking at thousands, £5000+

What is the budget?? Id say Pulsar, but they have a better reputation for breaking than anything other feature.

Todd is right in suggesting an S body.

If you want performance rather than anything else, but realisitically you're limited by your age, id say a DC2 Integra, maybe a DC5 but i think that would be out of your price range.

How about Ibiza cupra, James had one and was pretty quick. Easy to get over 200hp too.

Also obviously I'm gonna suggest an s body

And it is a lot of car for your money. But as Dan says insurance on evo, scoobs is rediculous. Put things in prospective mags

I pay £860 fully comp on my 14a, all mods declared with estimated power output 300bhp.
Quoted for Evo VII RS, with just breathing mods, £3000

And my 14a is a group 18, there is a massive jump to the rally cars, like evo's, scoobs.

It all depends what you want from the car too mags, if you want a car that is ready and dont have to spend on it, or if want something that can improve into something better. Out of the box ready to go, i'd choose honda all day long tbh
Have you not being reading the previous posts lol, and before you say a silvia is different, its got 20hp more and aload more insurance for being an import

But i still think Mags you wont go wrong with a uk s14a touring (same as mine)

Haha Todd i was thinking the same. I absolutely love the look of the Silvia but simply not worth paying sometimes well over double the cost of an S14a for basically the same thing - they go for Supra TT money, and i know what i'd rather spend that on

But yea the 200 route is looking more and more tempting, i'll have to have a dig around on forums for what to look out for and get an idea of what i should be getting for the money.

Craig, you live in the valleys!! It's a shame they are upwards of £12k, and cost £400+ a year to road tax. I have just taken a booking to detail one in January! I'll show you some pics so you can dribble in ya pants!
