Hi, i have a corsa c 1.7 dti and it died on me about a year back. Every now and again i go and play around to see if its a simple problem (loose leed) but now its suspected to be a ecu problem. i rang blue streak europe and they want £270 to fix the fault if there is one, anywere any cheaper?
cheers

vauxhall forum?
Try ATP they are quite good
a year!!!!
take it to a garage and get it fixed in a day/week
these deisel vauxhals are very common for the fuel pumps giving up.... try that aswel
most likely will be the EDU unit, located on the rear of the engine.
second hand- £80
recon- £100 (have to send yours back)
i know someone who repairs them for £20, they always go, just needs a couple of points soldering back together.
its not as simple as stick another ecu on though, after much testing it is down to:
diesel pump, this is one of the only pumps coded to the car and needs to be repaired by vauxhall.
ecu, common fault on my cars age and estimated in excess of £700 to be repaired by vauxhall.
i have a punto so im not bothered if the corsa is running or not but my dads car caught fire and so he needs a car and wanted prices to fix the corsa. when it first when wrong it spent a week in the garage and the done sod all!!
cheers
the edu unit is not coded, use any one.

all these point to engine not starting or cutting out but mine dosnt do either, it starts and just sits at 1500rpm and wont rev, pedal and wiring has been tested.
