£300 sort of mark
Took my GT for its MOT today, it failed on 9 things. Most of which I can do myself.
However the rear brake pipes are corroded, any ideas how much it costs to get these replaced?.
and the sills need welding where the "seat belt anchorage prescribed areas" are.
again any ideas of cost?.
I havent had time to get quotes yet, I'm just wondering what sort of figure im looking at for this.
nice!. lol. I got a guy giving me a price tomorrow so I'll let you know how much it costs.
I had welding done on my last car at the same place for £50 (only one side though)
Also had the brake lines replaced for £150.
I'd say Beau's guess is about right!
Call a Fiat dealer and quote your reg, If the brakes have not been done before you could still get them done on the recall, for free, Worth asking
As Tam said, break lines should be covered on recall and welding all depends on how much they have to do. Welding will be no more than £150ish if it's both sides.
I am also having both sides rear floorpan welded for 90 if i remove the trim and tar-like stuff on the floor as this will take away half the labour charge,
I have removed my trim and its not too bad to do, just hope i get it back in ok,
Just as another example, I had The BaJoraN's rear floorpan welded on both sides for £120, inclusive of VAT, including moving the raised jacking points over to the new plates.
i had some welding done both sides that cost me £90 but i had all the carpets ripped up anyways.
what the hell do you lot do to these cars, in all the puntos i have had, not 1 has ever needed welding, i always underseal any new car i buy, costs around a fiver.
