They are very good on prices, but if you are after a new laptop for under £300 there isn't much choice these days as they tend to be notebooks under £300 and laptops from £300
for all the geeks out there, im looking for a cheap laptop, just to generally surf the web, play a few games of championship manager and d/w on, i can get a cheap external hard drive for any d/w stuff so not a worry on that front.
I would get a netbook but would like the dvd drive for games etc.
So am looking for suggestions on what i can get and for up to £300 (lower if poss) i have a work laptop i can use but its slow due to all the files and work programes i use.
Cheers..

Yep, ebuyer are very good. http://www.scan.co.uk/ are also very good, ive found they beat ebuyer on prices on certain things
Either that or look into getting a refurbed machine
Any suggestions on spec? as said i dont mind going for a netbook as will only be surfing on the net and d/w but onto external hard drive. how do others deal with the no cd drive on a netbook? is the only way an external cd player or do most use zip files or memory sticks etc??
good speed of a laptop/netbook, memory etc?? can you tell im not into computer specs lol
You can pick up usb dvd drives for not a lot of money tbh mate. Wouldn't let that put you off!
if i were looking for a new laptop id go for something like this, great spec for the money imo

Most netbooks seem to be 1.6ghz proc and 1gig mem which is ok for basic browsing
