Should of joined aa- waited and then rang them up.
unlucky mate
thats a piss take
It was only break down cover, not recovery,
and with that i could get towed anywhere within a 10 mile radius, preferably a garage but as it was 9:00 pm they were all shut, so i chose Tesco
Then he quoted me £275 to be towed by them so i said i wouldn't bother, and a mate of mine knows a geezer that works at a recovery firm so he came.
The funny thing is though he broke down on the way to get me and had to get himself recovered and finally turned up at about 12:15 am
did the bearing just go or was it playing up before hand. also if the bearing goes do you loose all drive or does it just stick in one gear?
Well it was making squeaking noises for a while but i didn't quite know what it was.
And you can still drive it, you just have to drive without the clutch, and even in gear with the clutch down as far as it would go, it still moved on the clutch as it does on the bite. At traffic lights you would have to have the clutch down, with the handbrake on giving it slight revs to stop it stalling. This is why i didn't attempt to drive it back
