Thanks mate, I understand that. But I was trying to understand and describe what might be necessary to be able to use the Coupe's CODE and Immobiliser logic and wiring.
you dont need any of the punto or coupe immo connected when you get it uncoded
Thanks mate, I understand that. But I was trying to understand and describe what might be necessary to be able to use the Coupe's CODE and Immobiliser logic and wiring.
i tried to make it start by using the whole coupes immob system but with no luck. the only problem i can see is if the plugs at the back of the ignition switch are wrong, i have not attached fuses correctly (which is nearly impossible), or i might have damaged the immob box somehow.
coupes immob box with its wires transfered
10 amp fuse that protects the immob system.
timing variator relay that i also transfered.
30 and 40 amp igniton fuses that plug, the 40 amp fuse splits into 3 wires, 1 goes to the larger single red wire plug at the coupes main binnacle, 2nd goes to the timing variator relay and the 3rd goes into the immob box.
this is the plug that would connect to the puntos ignition loom as it has 2 immob wires that go to the ECU. the problem is that both plugs are female so cannot plug into one another.
this is the puntos immob wire i am on about.
A quick, temporary fix for the two female sockets would be to remove the pins and connected wires from each (they just pull out, I've found) and use a small screw-terminal block to connect as desired. Obviously, note how they were originally placed.
nice work !!!!
keep it up
finally got her started tonight and by god how i missed the noise of the 5 pot. will post up a video and a couple of updates later tonight,
