I think Dean's point is that you need to have the programming in the 20VT ECU changed to not have the immobiliser functionality (like the GT1 ECU?) as some SEB chips haven't. The RCL etc. should then be solely operated by the GT CODE box etc.
ya that is the other option but the ECU is mapped and i dont know if it will whip it off. I went with this way first as there is two large plugs on the coupe loom (all attach straight to the code box through fuses and a relay) and that seem to be important as i can see the wires going into each coil.

i understand that but the punto's CODE/ immob system has only one 4 pin plug that connects to the punto's loom where as the coupe has 3 different plugs. See i do not know if the 20vt and the 16vt looms are the same so i will take a few pictures of the plugs i am talking about and maybe you could tell me what you have done with yours if you have them on the loom. I am also looking into the ECU decoding at the moment but im still wondering after me transfering everything over why it didnt start??
What an awesome project mate, I applaud your madness it will be a monster if he car can cope with all that power!!!!
This link may be of help, if you've not been there already:

Page 7 may throw some light on this.
ya have studied all of that. Remind me later with your email address as i have a good fiat coupe manual that i can send to you. I attached the coupes instrument panel and the code light stays on which means the ECU is not recognising the key. will be sending it off to get decoded soon. praying it solves my problem.
