I always forget how big them engines are, then I see one in a punto engine bay and remember that they are one big fook off lump!
Keep up the good work

got it turning over dismorning but no fuel as have to swap over the yellow boxes so the ECU can recognise the key and a couple of sensors that i forget where they go but between here and the fiat coupe forum i think i can sort that out. I will be taking the loom back out and soldering all the wires so will give the loom details later.
Great work boss
Asif your putting a 5cyl into a Punto! Lunatic.....
Cracking effort though!
DB9 engined punto next?
wish i had an updagte but i dont, struggling to start the car as it seems the immobiliser is kicking in and not giving me any spark or injection. i have stripped the whole immob system from the 20vt and by-passed the punto's but still no luck. I think i will look into virgining the ECU and maybe that will work. Any ideas??
Wiring problem between CODE box and the rest? I presume there's either an "enable/go-ahead" or a "disable" signal wire from that involved.
the best way is to kee the punto ignition loom/system as then the punto keycode system will work, then have the 20vt ecu completly decoded, not reset but totally decoded, thats the way i done it on the 16vt's that ive done.

if you mean some sort of by-pass wire then there is none as the box sends more than one signal to the ecu and the ecu even sends one back. i am going to try and attach the coupe instrument panel and see if i can get the CODE light to work, that will tell me if the key is being recognised or not. The is one slight concern i have and that the ingnition connectors (at the back of the barrell) are in different order on the coupe but i really dont think it would make a difference.
