    thanks mate thats great as i did see the sensor on the rad but i wasnt 100% sure if the ECU controlled the fan like the coupe ECU does. i will probable have a manual switch for it also as it does get hot in the bay.

    Yes, as has been said, the thermoswitch in the LHS of the GT rad. controls the fan(s) by connecting to earth direct (fast) or via a resistor (slow), dependent upon temperature in the rad.

    things to do

    1) seal the manifold
    2) make my new power steering pipe.
    3) replace my leaking tank
    4) take it for a drive and GIVE HER BEANS!!

    Maybe also bypass the resistor in the rad so the fans are always on fast.
    Tom has written a guide in the how-to section, very easy.

    got the noise sorted, it was a loose manifold!! got rid of all the ticking and tapping noises so over the moon! painting the rest of it up over the weekend so will finally get this finished.

    its in a bit of a dangerous place, im thinking of removing the ABS system and re-routing the filter up there. i dont want to be sucking in water. out on the beer last night so maybe the panels can wait a couple of days!!

    For the air filter- have you still got the standard battery tray holder in place? I removed mine so I could move the airfilter up away from the floor a bit...

    si, i actually didnt see your air filter there before and i must say it looks great. the only problem is the 20vt has the AFM to deal with but i will somehow sort it out.

    regarding the evil picture!! it was in a bad mood!!!
