Side exit exhaust?

Basically, brought a cherry bomb backbox, had a look at how i wanted to fit it yesterday. To come out the rear it will sit behind the back bumper as its not long enough.

BUT

it will fit very well coming out of the left hand side and would look the tits. But what are the legal issues with this?

Basically as long as it exits be hind the rearest doors (yea sounds odd) then it's fine

almost the law stats the the exhaust gases need to exit behind the front wheels and thats it maty do it i was goin to put a double side exhaust.

thanks, thats a result, im going to do it deffo, all i have to do is chop the pipe, put the can on and make a bracket, should be tits with a cherry bomb

yeah should be nice i was goin to bring the exhaust into the car and having it coming out the back wing just before the back wheel arch.

niceeeeee, not sure the mot place will be happy with my exhaust, but guess ill have to sort it before the mot lol. ill post up pics this weekend when its done

Just check with a custom exhaust place before you build it.....they should be able to tell you what's legal for road use.

i was browsing through ebay, and all the backboxes where the same jap cut, giant hole shite and was like £50-£60, saw the cherry bomb, £44 posted brand new, looks different and they ment to sound the tits lol

They do sound mint, but a couple a lads round here have had there cars took off them for the cherry bomb. To be safe paint the cherry bomb black instead of red that sometimes take the eye off it being a cherry bomb

nice, my mates coming round later so ill knick his battery as mine is ****ed and start her up. iv put it on but havnt mounted any thing properly yet as will do it properly when i get my rims and spacers on etc.
