I heard they were all unlocked, that's why they are not o2 exclusive.
Just to let u know, there's a website which u can transfer ur old sim number to new mini sim for free.
I was just about to order a new iPhone 4 from Orange on pay monthly but then I asked about using my current o2 sim card (having ordered a micro sim) in it. They said I would have to wait 3 months and then pay £20 to have it unlocked.
Does anyone know if I can unlock it without waiting 3 months? I don't mind paying £20 but it's the wait that annoys me.
Thanks.

Ben, its free to do it anyway! lol
It's not about swapping my number. I want to use my company sim in the iPhone 4 and give the Orange sim to my gf.
Apparently all iPhones are unlocked until the first sim card is inserted.

Well I don't really see the need. The phone does everything I need.
I don't think I'm going to bother with a contract now. Just going to get a sim free one from Apple.

Jailbreaking slows the phone down... BIG TIME!
