Sad day, my first car is being sent to the scrappy in the sky. Head gasket has gone wasnt worth fixing as I didnt think it would sell for much anyway. It has served me well but need to move on now, thinking cinq or punto sporting

Seems a shame for the sake of a head gasket - but needs must I guess
took the repeaters off, front tyres (back ones were pretty bad anyway) and the speakers, I doubt there would be much interest fot 55 engine parts anyway but I have those items plus a mutant subwoofer, external 600 watt 2 channel amp and alpine 6x9s for sale if anyone is interested.
Was the shell rotton?
nah shells good condition it is a shame, if anyones interested its only sold privisionaly for £120 to a fiat breakers in Nechelles, but going today or on the weekend.
