For all that trouble why did you not use an Uno Turbo Mk1 inlet? Far better design?

It's a possibility it might be changed at a later date, we were looking at that but couldn't find a mk1 inlet at the time. My dad's designed a quick release system at the back of the inlet so it can be removed easily and without having to remove the head

A question you or someone may raise from that, is "you don't need to remove the head to get the inlet off, so why do that?"

This engine has a tubular manifold, and it uses an allen bolt in the middle, between exhaust valve 2 and 3 - you just can't get on it easily enough. So he's designed something to get around this problem.

Sorry, didn't really finish off the last paragraph.. so the exhaust manifold ends up getting in the way of where the inlet goes and to get on those bolts - so as you can imagine, this is the area he's worked on so that the inlet comes off without having to slacken the exhaust manifold off etc.

It makes more sense now I've said that

It was officially built last year. But custom parts were holding the job up (like the o/s engine mount, and exhaust downpipe).

It'll probably hurt you even more then if I were to say the 1st vid in my opening post is 4 months old. The 2nd vid was only taken about a month ago. There's still some finishing touches to make yet, hence it being a while between that original vid, the 2nd vid, and then finally the mapping (which it's going in for on May bank holiday). So, here's to hoping that goes according to plan
