Common problem on GT3s, you cant get to the underneith of those nuts, your buggered.
Hello people
i bought a expansion tank from gt as mine is yellow so wanted a nice white one for my nice clean engine bay. i think its called the expansion tank its the wattle bottle to the right of the engine on the gt that you put the water in for your engine.
right i started to take it off thinking it was going to be easy just taking 3 nuts off and diconnecting the hoses but 2 of the 3 nuts started unscrewing but then just started spinning as the bit its on came lose. i will need to hold it from underneath but how do i get to it? do i just take the wheel off and arch bit or will i need to take the whole quarter panel off to get the the underneath?
has this happened to anyone else and anyone got any advice for me
cheers

oh, wasnt expecting that answer so guess theres no way of getting the new expansion tank to be secure if i could cut the other one away?
had the same problem, fiat dont sell the bolts that were there,
what i did was super glued a bolts head in place and then do up with a nut as usual just dont use to much force
had the same problem mate, i used a crowbar to snap the bolt then got a drill drilled 2 new holes to the left and used some 13mm self tap bolts.
oh yes! i'll get a picture later of what the bay looks like now! haha needless to say theres not much paint left on the inside right hand corner! but i got that ****ing thing out!
Can't you use some riv nuts?
I had the same problem. If you wriggle them about you can just pull the clips and studs straight out. I welded new studs on.
