Cleaning / Detailing section?

It is worth a go for sure, but personally I think it will be a waste of a section or will just be stuff like 'I washed my punto, it took me 20 minutes' which isn't strictly detailing.

You could be very right, but it's better to fail trying, than wonder?

I think that it could add value to the site, and even if it fails, we can at least say we tried?

I know my contributions would be greater, as it's something I love.

I like having a nice clean, shiny car, and I like knowing how best to look after it, but the big forums like DW are too offputting for me - information overload, when really I just want to know basics to improve a bit, without delving into the pros and cons of fifty different cleaning techniques.

DW is great, but some people aren't looking to plunge that far into detailing, nor want to have to go to a seperate forum to get a little advice on getting a better quality shine, and being faced with all that DW contains. Don't get me wrong, DW is heaven to people like me, but not everyones cup of tea!

That's exactly why i suggested it. I care about my car enough, and am interested in enough to have SOME interest in it, not enough though to warrant signing up to DW and sifting through the massive amount of information on it.
