Dunno if anyones suggested it before, but was just going to make a post asking a few cleaning related questions and was trying to think of the best section to post in.
Would it not be worthwhile? I know not everyone's a detailing nut - i'm not, but might be better than random scattered threads about what polish to use etc!

TBH I don't think there's much point in it.
Not alot of punto owners are into detailing I don't think. Only Chris, but he's old and sad
is it not worth having it there though? could even maybe attract more people to sign up who are into detailing. And its always handy, instead of having to search around for ages looking for an old detailing thread ect.

I know thisis an old topic, but I still wish to reply, if that's ok.
I think it's guess work to say whether it would work, or not.
The only thing I can say, being hugely into detailing myself, is noticing that on forums such as Vxr Online, the detailing sections can prove to be a messive success. However, on other sites it simply never takes off.
I think it all comes down to the type of users that frequent the forum.
I guess it could be tried, and if deemed a failure, could be removed. But, if I'm honest, many good forums, that have users who have a great deal of pride for there cars, have very active detailing sections, as the users are happy to put in the same effort and enthusiasm to discussing keeping their car clean, as they are to discuss other aspects.
DW is great, but some people aren't looking to plunge that far into detailing, nor want to have to go to a seperate forum to get a little advice on getting a better quality shine, and being faced with all that DW contains. Don't get me wrong, DW is heaven to people like me, but not everyones cup of tea!
Just my thoughts. Sorry if that was a long read

It is worth a go for sure, but personally I think it will be a waste of a section or will just be stuff like 'I washed my punto, it took me 20 minutes' which isn't strictly detailing.
I'd be willing to put bits in there.
I think theres more people into 'OCD cleaning' then is realised...

I think its because there isnt a section that few people post cleaning advice etc!
