    I've dropped one out on a trolley jack on my own before, easy peasy takes about 34 minutes. As said though, be hard to get one back in without a crane although two strong people should be able to do it it's not really worth it for the small cost of hiring one.

    dropped engine and put it back in using a trolley jack, took it out by myself, a friend helped putting back in. Its do'able

    I figure it'll be a case of "softly, softly, catchee monkey". i.e. take your time getting angles and alignment correct before inserting bolts and fully bolting up, when installing.

    the cost of dan hiring one was free lol he hired mine as did dean and tom its move a few punto engines that old beasty

    Erm, well took the car off the road in February and just had it with Punto's. Then i moved house and didn't have net for a while and now I am back :-)

    The easiest way to put the engine back in without a crane imo is to remove the wheels and lower the chassis right to the floor. May need to get the engine up a few inches on some blocks first though.

    thats how i got mine out easier to do it taking out than going in though, chances of lining up for ya nicely, - pretty slim i feel

    True. Its not easy but can be done.

    I havent tried this with a heavier Gt lump tho. This was only a 1.2.

    I would say find a crane somewhere.
