My GT1.

Heres some pics of my GT1..
It was an awful badly faded red...


So we matt blacked it - We did it ourselves but does look better in the flesh than in the pics

We had a GT3 beforehand which was rotten, so we sold it to a mate who told us it needed 9 hours of welding... Oops :P
And then bought this one, it was sat around for 5 years having bits and bobs done to it over the time, and all it needed for mot was wiper blades

It's had a bit of work done to it since we've had it:

New head gasket,
Turbo gasket, and re-fitted as was hanging off and sounding like a tank! (Turbo has no play whatsoever )
New core plugs,
New valves,
Manifold welded,
Middle box taken out,
All new boost pipes, vacuum pipes, water pipes, etc.
New starter motor,
New thermostat,
New radiator.
New original lights not those awful bubble ones!!!!!!!

After all this, the shims are wrong so sounds like a scoob/fiesta popular atm lol...
Getting new shims asap!!

Plans:

Possibly re-do the bonnet black... I dont want to but my other half does .
Re-spray, either done properly in satin black, or a nice kandy colour?!
Intercooler.
Abarth kit.
Garrett turbo maybe?
GT3 interior/leather interior.
Original GT alloys.
Change of shocks, already has GMAX coilovers on but shocks squeaking from front .

Well i actually quite like the paint job Didnt think i would but it looks well.
Was it just a rub back and paint on job?

All i can suggest is, listen to your other half and paint the bonnet , loose the awful rear lights (buy some originals and tint them slightly), Try and get a GT3 steering wheel (GT1 looks like a liqourice wheel).
And although i cant see it i reckon your chairs have that lovely multi coloured check patter on them?
If so change for GT3 interior

Yeah we painted it on with a roller LOL!!!

We've lost the rear lights, as in the newer pic.
And we've already bought a GT3 interior... £50 - Bar-gain!!

Paints easy to come off, we didnt need to scratch the surface to make it stick as there was no laquer left on the car lol..
Just a temp fix for now til we get some more dolla!
Quite liking the blue in our old one..

I dont really care tbh, I'd rather drive it matt black than horrible faded red.
It's a temp fix til I get more money to get it sprayed decent so if you dont like it I don't frankly care.

Lol why do you want pics of it being painted may I ask ?!

And it's probably cause it's a bit different atm that you like it, looks alot better in the flesh imo.
