But you still haven't answered what Dan asked...

You have no money to bolt down a battery and MoT it, but you do have money to buy another car, change insurance etc etc ?!?

well its a 13 year old punto, which was last moted 10 months ago, and its done over 130,000 miles, its obviously going to need some bits doing, i dont think i really need to list what its going to need for the mot cos its pointless- but i cant afford to do it all yet, plus the car cannot be driven or towed to an mot station, so thats another £40 for a trailor.

Why can't it be driven there ?

If you book it in for MoT, it can be driven - As long as you have insurance.

it cant be driven, its got a prohibiation order against it, it says this vehicle cannot be driven or towed or parked on the road.

I think you find it can be driven to the MOT station. I have a prohibition notice put on my old Punto many years ago for the illegal tints. I was allowed to drive it to a prebooked test.

Chris is right - It can still be driven to MoT center, as long as it's booked in.

well why would they not let me drive it away then? (it was booked in for an mot)- with proof, cos they wouldnt let me take it otherwise, and it had to be taken on a truck.
