Do some research on supercharger projects. It would involve custom mapping etc.
Hi all.
My mate was telling me that a Supercharger would be not easy but not hard to fit.
This is what he just told me over MSN.
Air con pump out and you'll bolt that in there and run the pump off that belt, then u connect it to a intercooler and a filter and then to your inlet??
Are they hard to fit?? I know you can buy a Supercharge for like £300-£400 not a problem. But i wouldn't want to ruin my engine or make it such hard work lol.
Thanks..
Plus how much BHP would this add to a MK2 1.2 16V Sporting 6 Speed?

Punto Gt no more!
Its not hard, its very hard.
Forget about it
LOL
Potential on your engine - around 160bhp with a mini cooper S supercharger, standalone management, and decompression plate
Realistic potential of you doing it - absolutely none
pmsl now thats first i have seen that using a aircon pump!
Don't do it lol
Need to read better
He wants to remove the AC-compressor and drive the compressor instead with the belt wich drives AC normaly.
I've been thinking before about a compressor in stead of turbo on the GT to erase lag.
But think thats one of the "if only I had more time and money"-things.
CAN'T DO IT, lol!!Originally Posted by Mattyd1

He ended up with it running good power on standalone management - then it had a catastrophic faliure within a few weeks.
Heck of a lot of effort for results which may not be guaranteed.
