Fiat punto locking nut.

Hi peeps.

I've got a punto 1.4 sporting and i need to change a wheel but i don't have the locking nut, this is a first car with alooys and i've done a school boy error and didn't check if it had the locking nut. Now, do all mk3 locking nuts fit all? as i can easily get one.

i believe they are specific to some amount...otherwise anyone could buy a nut and take the alloys of any mk2b punto.
You can probably get the nut off by hammering a socket onto it....but it destroys the socket so either buy a new one or get a crappy old one for the prupose.

Or get a garage to weld a bar to it and twist the bar.

You've got to be a bloody amazing welder IMO if you can weld a metal bar to a wheel nut that's still on the car...there's not massive amounts of room in that little socket hole

a good tyre/wheel place get an extractor tool on it gets them straight off
