First of all, is this anyone's on here, if so please PM me or reply in-thread if you're unable to.
Secondly, anyone know what the misfire problem might be? A coil-pack, ECU or ignition leads? If it could be fixed on-the-spot by taking some kit along when going to view, this would be of interest to me (although it's not the only one I have in mind).

Paintwork looks very good.
Problem is with 'misfires' it can be down to so many things. From the beginnings of HG faliure to simply coil pack or ignition lead issues.
Could be worth a punt if the bodywork is as nice as it looks.
That's what I thought (about the appearance).
I've been meaning to fit Magnecore leads to mine, and a spare coilpack would be something handy to have around, so even if I don't buy, the parts would be of use to me and not a "waste" as such. But a failing HG would be a whole other issue, as it might point to other abuse, unspoken of before.
thats the trouble with no m.o.t. it could have loads wrong and cost a load to get it m.o.ted. like it may have a rotten floor plan, brake lines might all need replacing the list goes on, but its up to you and i cant see it being worth more than £400 at the most. but if your happy to take the risk at that price its up to you. good luck with what ever you decide to do
A 'missfire' is very hard to diagnose from only that. Would depend on when it does it, if all pots are misfiring or just one is... Would have to see it to find out.
Thanks guys, going from the opinions given I reckon I should give that a miss. But thanks for all the contributions.
it is a gamble, ive been tempted myself.......looks nice. best go view the car really.
