Well i bought this car back in October after the punto was written off.
It's a 2002 BMW 318ci and i bought it on 80K.
I love the look of these cars, shame about the engine i have got in mine though. I'm only 21 though and have to drive 30 miles to work everyday so i chose the sensible option lol rather than a thirsty 325ci or 330ci.
Sorry for the crap quality pics, they were taken back in October and i have done a fair few bits to it since.
It has 17" Rondell deep dish alloys in black (which i am replacing very soon for some nice 18's!)
OEM M-Tec bumpers and side skirts
L.E.D rear lights
Tinted rear windows
And i will be doing lots more to it, just want it to look like an OEM M-Sport model really, clean and tidy.

lower than a GT lol it's group 12E and with 2 years NCB its less than £1000 fully comp which isn't too bad at all i didnt think. I was surprised when getting quotes on the 320, 323 and 325 as they are not a lot more than what i'm paying.
Still want to get a GT this year though as a second car lol
Get yourself a 328 - You'll love it.

I love the E36 myself - it still had the look of German Ruggedness and build quality that I thought the E46 started to lose.
I really like the look of your E46 though.
Trust me unless you have very deep pockets - don't do huge engines too soon!
I insured my 147 GTA (3.2) at 23 and although the insurance was reasonable (just under £1K) the fuel bills are not - especially if it is driven properly
Thats why I got a GT as a daily driver as well.
