    Lightbulb Punto Mods

Right guys, got my punto sorted mechanically now, so moving onto some visual mods. Its a Mk2 sporting, in metallic grey.

I've De-Badged the rear, and taken the side strips off the doors/wings.

Looking at some black angel eyes with HID Kit, good idea???
Also, was thinking of getting some MK2b rear lights, are these just plug and play, or do they need re wiring??
Finally, wanting to smooth the F+R bumpers, but was wondering about making a large 'Audi Style' grill on the front, by cutting out the bars under the plate, and putting mesh in. Easy to do??

    Cheers
    Chris

Easy is a bit dependant upon your skills....if you work in a bodyshop specialising in custom work then yes it's dead easy...if you've enver but a meshed a bumper before it might be a bit harder.

Angel eye's aren't as bright as normal headlights IMO...up to you really...it's your car!

You say that, but with HID's in they'd be brighter. MK1 headlights are like candles in a jamjar but 100x better with HIDs

well i'm a motorcycle technician come motorcycle club racer so the mechanical fitting/trimming/getting my hands dirty doesn't bother me, just not too good with the electrical side!
and ye my lights are really dim on my mk2 compared to other cars i see, so i thought HIDs would sort that out.

also looking at putting on a new cone air filter.
as for the intake hose, need to replace it so that the new filter will fit to the side of the engine, not on top.
can i get an intake hose for this, like samco ones or similar?
    cheers

Yes.....or a GSR kit that is already the right size and length and gives proven gains.
Or you can build one yourself from bits of hose and joiners....
Or buy pipercross or some other brand.

I just prefer the smooth look, colour code and smooth everything, reminds me of that brown metallic MK2 I've seen before, euro punto in a search.
