I've been doing a repair on an abarth bumperand was wondering if I should cut this bad boy out?
opinions please.
Also, it's just for fun and I know I don't have a punto, so when finished it will be for sale.
anything is posible but it mght weaken the bmper to much and if you are going to sell it you got to justify the effort of doing it. i like it as it is.
People cut whole rub strips out of bumpers, i'm sure a 1.5" section will be fine.
Anyhoo I will be doing a pro job if I do.
Like you said, if it's just to experiment I don't see why not, the only good bit about the Abarth kit is the skirts anyway. If it does become floppy (I doubt it will) you could always strengthen it up with strategically placed strips of fibreglass or something.
Done plenty of times with no ill side effects.
