How long/much to have a rear radius arm fitted on a GT?

    Hi,

Just in case the garage tries to rip me off - how much should I be looking at to replace a rear radius arm at a local garage? Also how long does it take.

I've left the car first thing this morning and told the guy I don't want him to spend anymore than 2 hours labour on it.

I picked up a genuine (ABS) rear arm for £60 delivered from Germany.

I noticed shop 4 parts now want about £115 inc. delivery per arm. So don't think I got a bad deal.

    Thanks

    jrr

I just had one done for my MOT.

It depends really, I got the part for £57 genuine, so bargain as well.

However it can take up to 2 hours labour to do it, depends how seized the bolt is that holts it in, they can be a pain to get off, it varies, luckily it came straight off on mine apparently but on some Punto's it doesn't because the inner sheath rusts to the bolt and you can't get to it, so you have to heat it up and keep using some force to get it off.

I'd say no more than £100 for the job including parts.

    OK thanks.

I had £100 as a ballpark figure so thats ok. As long as it is not much more I will be happy.

I was lucky because I was having my all my shocks, springs and modified suspension subframe cups done, so it was something that could be done at the same time but he said sometimes it can take about an extra hour to get the blasted thing off.
