its an extra drive which lets you read xbox & 360 games onto your pc, so you can backup your games

I just flashed it with the most recent firmware possible so it will play all new games

drive will work with a laptop yes you'll need an external disc caddy though as i had mine built into my pc it works as a normal disc drive too.

It would need dvd+dl

as all 360 games are dual layer.
