That should have been known before posting the auction, it's easy enough to investigate beforehand, and that as a reason is specifically against eBay's T&Cs - "Final Value Fee avoidance". Not that I'm going to raise an issue, but I do rather resent the lack of any compunction in cancelling bids without an explanatory e-mail. Just my opinion in the end.

I'm talking about things that the younger people seem to have no conception of, values, respect, honour, principles. I've been on eBay a long time and have seen all sorts of scams, dishonest trading etc. etc. and "taken my lumps" when eBay did squat about anything. As long as they get their cut they don't give a rat's. If he'd done as little as posted a message in the thread I would not have been bothered. End of explanation.
I don't have the hump, I was expressing my dismay at the arrogance. Also, why would I buy another one when I was bidding on one that I knew much more about and, should I have won, would have financially benefitted a member here?
