As far as I can see the name's spelt "MCrich" as in M(ichael) Crich. See:

    http://www.fiatforum.com/cinquecento...mckcritch.html

E-mail developer: michael@crich.org.uk And please be patient, as it's just the one guy, who probably has a life beyond cars.

Search here, or (fl)eBay or Google the name for possible sellers.

Be warned! From what little I've read, the "General" chip disables the immobiliser function of the ECU, so your insurance may be invalidated as a result. Don't say I didn't tell you.

The Mcritch chip was designed for the 1.1 fire engine. Not too sure how it performs in the 1.2.
Fiatforum is def the best place to start looking and asking questions. They will be able to offer best advice as there are lots of people on there using them.

it wont work on a 16v.

they work on the 55 and 60 spi models only.

Good to know, Beau. I'm not that up on the non-GTs to know which were SPI or MPI off the top of my head , plus maybe Mr Crich has added to his "portfolio" in the meantime? Anyway, the member's got the contact e-mail details.

The only place you will get a chip if you are very lucky is on ebay (a used superchip) or similiar, not a cheap EPROM with a load of rubbish on it.

Your best bet would be to go to someone like Red Dot at Watford as they can custom map this chip.

im basically just after a chip that doesnt cost as much as a remap, im obviously not expecting the same gains as a remap you get what you pay for
