When I look in the engine bay the pas belt and aux belt do look separate. It whines all the time without touching the wheel.
I'm convinced it's a tentioner but the only way to tell would be to disconnect belts surly ...
im not to sure on the sporting if the aux belt and the pas belt is the same i know there seperate on the gt, someone may be able clarify this.
So is it whining straight away when the cars started or on full lock side to side? usually i would say its the tensioner personally whenever i had any belt changed id change the tensioner as it wears out with the belt, its just good practice specially if your letting a garage do the work. I would never trust a big company like kwik fit or national auto centres or even mr clutch to do any work as there just monkeys!

Oh, and it only started doing it as soon as it came out of the garage after they dis the aux belt
tensioner mate! did u ask them to change it? if you didnt u dont have a leg to stand on.
Is it easy to change. Tbh I didn't know to ask or that it needed changing.
its quite an easy job to change shouldnt take longer than an hour to do.
