why not just call up a scrap places in the local newspaper to where it is, and let them take it? your get like £150, sorted.
il come and do it if you want lol.
OK, my old Sporting, deemed "beyond economic repair" is sitting in the repairer's yard at Yeovil, Somerset.
The bodywork is clapped, but the rest is in good order. It's T reg and under 60k on the clock. The repairers have told me that I can have it back if I want. but it's not really driveable (rear wing fouls tyre), and the battery is flat. Tax expires end of this month.
So. Anyone who wants it, and can pick it up from Yeovil, is welcome to it, with the proviso that I can have any odd bits of it I might want.
But you'll need to be quick. Ideally it should be moved this week.

150 quid? Do you reckon? Even if they had to collect it?
Well, I *gave* away a perfectly good Alfa 156 2.0 litre, that only needed a clutch, for 200 quid a while back. Perhaps I've been generous enough for one year!
Thanks. I'll look into it tomorrow.
First place I tried this morning:
"Oh yes, we'll collect it for you..."
Didn't like the sound of that, that "we're doing you a favour" attitude... and sure enough:
"Looking at fifty quid, mate".
No ta, sez I. Can't help but feel, I'm not in a good bargaining position. Still, it's worth trying a few more, I guess.
Scrap prices have started to rise again lately but they're still nowhere near good enough to be considered high. Last summer for example the prices for some types of steel were almost double what they are now. I don't think you'll do much better than £70.
well i duno, theres alot of places in my local newspaper who guarantee £130+ what ever car it is.
my mate got £200 for a bmw 3 series only 2 weeks ago.
Everythings more expensive down south
I am down south!
