Gauging interest threads - not allowed??

Why are these not allowed - Surely the reason for these threads is to see wether it is worth while breaking as apposed to selling as a whole!??!

I don't see the point of them personally.

If you gauge interest in breaking a car all it means is that if you were to sell the bits right now you may have buyers for bits. But how long will it take to break a car up? Weeks?
By the time you've actually got it into bits people might not want them any more.
And common sense would suggest that you will sell the performance parts without much bother if you do break.

They are pointless, because for the last year on PSC you're either selling or you're not.

    They just mess people about.

Those that sell tend to mess people about enough as it is.

Guaging interest threads are a waste of time. You know if you want to sell something or not, and if you don't sell your price is too high.

Those seats for £200 then? You haven't sold them yet and I don't like the sound of 900 monies.

I agree with all of the above. Sell or do not sell, there is no gauging Put the car up for sale asking what you want for it, and if you don't get it in a certain time period, break it?

And to be honest, people are full of crap. Untill someone gives you the money, someone saying they will counts for nothing

I disagree. Unless something completely untowards happens, if I say I'm going to buy it, I'll buy it. Don't have enough time to tolerate time wasters. I know a couple of other people who are the same, not everyone's a p*ss about.

I think thats pretty conclusive Steve.

You know practically everything from your car would sell anyway, no need to see if it will sell.

Any questions, PM me or another mod.
