couple of young looking lads round my way flexing about in GTRs. Must be drug money.....makes you wonder how they even afford the super unleaded.

I do like the standard paint colours on them-that wrap colour is an odd choice.

Started the month with a big fat puncture, a mini shank type thing just managed to protrude throught the tread block as I got to work, its a wonder its my first puncture given the two scrap dealers and numerous breakers yards near us showering the road in **** all the time...

Bloke next door repaired it for £7, didn't grumble!

Had a clearout of the car including the wheel well and boot, the boot came out nice and velcro'd down some ikea storage bins to stop spare shoes and what not flying about...

Although I was shocked to find in the wheel well all of these tools... How id forgotten there were that many I don't know! Been driving around with an extra 10kilo in the car for 3years lol!

Filter off for a clean, it didn't come out pink like it used to look but alot of rammel removed!

Began removing the dog**** monkey metal bolts before they siezed in place, not good! Replaced with black anodised bolts

Gave the vent a clean with AF citrus power

Unfortunately some water marks are singed on, like a hob...

Followed by a general underbonnet spruce

Few days later I set about changing the number plate bulbs and in the end took half the rear end off in a frenzy, pretty grubby.

SPray down with more citrus power and where needed Autoglym tar remover

After... Didn't have the want to remove the underseal overspray int he centre

Cleaned the lights with cirus power too and gave them a polish with AF tripple3

Bumper parts you can't even see...

    Set about other exposed areas

    Before

Couple of mins with AF metal polish

Luckily only one snapped bolt throughout the entire operation!

Got round to changing some bulbs, these crazy things in the number plate lights...

Removed rear fog, full of poo...

    Finished with a quick wash

Tried some AF imperial on the wheels, really helped!

    Wa'dark when I finished.

New alloy bolts in the plate, small but effective

Finally, won these on eBay, not sure... opinions?

Always liked your car Dan. But I agree with Kyle, badges needed!

TBH theres no reason its still not got badges on... I don't want to put those carbon letters on it any more, I think they look naff! Going to order some new black letters and red MR then and get on with it!

I lifted the carbon badges out other day and they're not that bad, I need a new MR badge though and a different rear diamond.

    Another small update

Following a chat with a pal who has the same Evo although with a much higher output he suggested I try using the standard recirc to solve some of the occasional part throttle, gear change and pulling off niggles, luckily he found his original one so I collected it and boshed it in there.

Evo 8 MRs had metal recirc valves over other models plastic varients, all Evos after came with the metal version. Putting it on has transformed the car, drives so much nicer at normal speeds, no more part throttle jiggling about even better when licking it.

I hope to get a plate cut at work to make a recirc flange for the Blitz ive taken off as I liked the strength in the spring on it.

    Couple of fixing changes

Removed these pieces of old tut, old foggys back in.

Finally, spotted this chaffed bit vac line when I cleaned the airfilter so sorted it...

Moved the solenoid over and adjusted the intake, jobsagoodun.
