OK, so my GT hadn't been washed for around 8 months so was showing some signs of dirt and This was due to being in my garage in storage.

    So onto the detail
    Befores

The car was given a good foaming with super thick super snow foam and a small amount off apc, leaving to dwell for 5 minutes. (The arches were left alone because I had already cleaned them and as you can see I was in the middle of swapping wheels around, obviously anthracite OZs are the keepers!)

This was then pressure washed off and then the car was washed, using the tbm and cg maxi suds as the shampoo.

Then the car was dried using the miracle dryer and the ultimate drying towel from cyc. This left the following result

Then the thing to ruin all outdoor detailing days

Then within a matter of minutes it started to pour, luckily we anticipated this and moved the car round to some shelter.

We then masked up the car, we clayed areas that needed it with cyc poly clay, only the roof as I had previously clayed the car, and I took some paint depth readings, which were very positive with an average reading of 160 microns.

Onto the polishing, tried megs 83 on a megs pad with great results so settled with this for the day. As you can see the swirls were robbing the car of its glossy black paint and giving a grey and dull impression.
    Befores

    Afters

I then worked my way around the rest of the car

The bumpers had been resprayed and I wasn't overlly pleased with the orange peel effect so I worked a small pad and some 83# to try to improve the gloss.

    Before

    After

Not a massive difference in the pictures but the finish was much improved in the flesh.

The lights were also polished with plastx
    Before

    After

To cheer things up from the dull weather I said I would mask up the rear badge which ended up like this

    Then we redid

All trim was then treated with black wow

    Before

    After

Then the car was finished off with cg wt mirror finish

Hope you enjoy the read, was a good successful day!

    Hi folks,

I want to get at least around 10 entries to this, so this may be extended.

Remember, i'm not scoring on the actual write-up, just what you have acheived from start to finish.

Get entering, or this will be a giveaway... Gotta be in it to win it!
