Project MK1 Escort - Operation Get It Sorted

o.k. Some peeps on here will know that I while ago I fell in love with a 1970's MK1 Escort & got It as an un-finished project with the following spec:

    > Vaux Red Top C20XE Lump (2.0l 16v) Standard is 150bhp,
but should see 170-180 with this setup (potential for 200bhp)
    > Custom inlet manifold with 36mm bike carbs
    > Ashley manifold and 21/2" single box system
    > MBE management
    > Alloy Manta sump and pickup
    > QED bell housing and clutch fork
    > Bulkhead & tunnel have been modified to move the engine back
    > 5 Speed Type 9 gearbox from Sierra
    > Facet fuel pump
    > 3.9 Diff fitted (4.4 quaife atb not fitted a yet)
    > Custom made Prop Shaft
    > Spax rear shocks
    > Single leaf springs with polybushes
    > Bilstien front legs with fixed platforms
    > Rubber roller top mounts
    > Adjustabe compression struts
    > Mexico Wings
    > Re-furb deep dish old skool ford wheels with new rubber
    > New Halligen light conversion

I'm not really working on this as my current focus is on my Punto, but I have been buying bits & bobs as and when I can get my hands on them as parts can be hard to come by. The direction that I will be going with it is still up in the air, part of me just wants a nice example road going car, I think a stripped out slag is not the way to go with this.

any way I managed to take some pix, not very good ones at that, as it is kept locked up and covered.

Front end - New Halligen light conversion, Grill is not fitted yet as I've only just ordered the clips for it,
I've not been able to get my hands on a set of front indicators or the font qtr bumper as yet,
so it all still looks a bit bare up front

Arse End - Manage to get hold of a new boot lock off ebay, so fitted that the other day,
I've manage to get hold of a rear bumper, not brill condition but good enough,
it's straight but could do with a buff or even a re:chrome, also need to get brakets in order to fit it:

Another lucky buy, was this mint bling as new in original box chrome petrol cap:

CockPit - Got a new RMD steering wheel & boss from Rally Designs, makes it bit easy for the old steering compared with mole grips lol:
as you can see, a fare bit of work needed in this area also, dash has been re-trimmed and looks spanking new, I've removed the clocks for a bit of thinking and looking at:

Also got a set of door locks shipped over from Thialand, these are gold dust so had to pay a far bit for them,
fitted the passenger side on Sunday along with the locking mech and door handle,
still need to get hold of the drivers side locking mech :

Engine bay - Not alot going on, on this front as yet:

That's awesome, I'm surprised that the C20XE fit in, but it looks like there is loads of space around it!
