ok what would be a good diesel car for a second car at 18(as i wanna up grade next year) and i travel lots now, so any good diesel car, must be bigger than a 1.2, electric windows, powers sterring, abs, and look good

not a turbo? Then you might as well give up now then. Game over.
non turbo diesels are REALLY SLOW, and arent any more economical than a (much faster) small petrol engined car.
Plus the insurance may be as bad as you might think...

Why diesel? A few of the guys at work have been looking to petrols due to the increased running costs of a diesel and the 5 or 6p/l increase in fuel price compared to petrol. We're all field engineers so do a lot of miles.

Diesel and petrol are exactly the same price at the Shell around the corner from me. You have the economy of a small-engined petrol car, but half-decent performance when you want it (turbo-diesel anyway). And that's before a remap
Fiesta ZS TDCi. with remap they are quite nippy.
Tax is only £35 a year, insurance is roughly half the price for me on a TDCi than it is on my petrol version. And deisel is only a couple pence more now.
Dont bother getting a non turbo diesel. Wont be much more economical than petrol, and will be slow.
