iphone upgrade, HELP!!!

i have just upgraded my iphone, its all done and the phone has shut down to re-boot with the new settings BUT...

on start up it comes up with the "usb --) itunes" pic.

so i left it plugged in.

itunes then comes up with,

"we could not complete your itunes request, the network connection timmed out.

make sure your network connection is active, then try again."

so, how can i check my connection if i cant access my phone?

anyone else had this issue?

unlock your sim

unplug your phone then plug it back in

Mine keeps saying the same, i think it's because the server is too busy everyones trying to do it atm

Mine worked once it got a connection to the activation server

I left it mine over night and it was Fine this morning.

probably the server timing out requests due to high demand
