Good you got that one, you get free traffic updates for life. They brought out their 540, 740, 940 live series. Go LIVE basically is this service where you can look up weather, google search, fuel prices etc, the units cost £££, and not only that for the first three months it's free, thereafter £7.99 a month! They are doing away with traffic models as they are giving out the updates for life free.
So if anyone is tempted by GO LIVE's! DONT do it. Garmin are so much better now, 265WT, or the 860T!
Garmin's are ****. After using one round Europe I'll never use one again.
TomTom's are top. Plus this one was half the retail price and can be updated to be exactly the same as the current range.

Believe it or not we get more faulty TomTom satnavs, and Navigon satnavs back then Garmin, very rarely we have the odd Garmin fault and that's down to user error (at work).
We sell more Garmin now than Tomtom.
Just because you have more faulty TomTom's doesn't mean they are worse at navigation than a Garmin.
I hate the interface and the ones I've used weren't very good or accurate.

It depends really. I used to prefer TomTom, but I think the menu's, and Garmins are more user friendly. I like the fact TomTom offer a two year guarantee. Once or twice selling a TomTom or Navman at work, has resulted in people coming back saying their address wont go in, or it wont find their exact house number, Garmin has never let me down. Hence why if I had to buy one now or recommend one I'd recommend Garmin.
Each to their own, I do quite like the features of the Go Live TomTom units!
