Yes, they need to rev to power the turbo - I understand this. Pre-crossflows don't flow air very well. You can work them until you're blue in the face, and they still don't flow air as good as a crossflow..
Clearly this engine has a big turbo, so it needs to rev that high. It's pointless, for 300hp, it could just use a more efficient smaller turbo. Phil has well over 300hp and he is only revving to just over 7000rpm.
This GT might well have >300hp.
Its all bollocks really because they make 1 set of videos, none in some cases then the car breaks and you'll never hear of it again.

It's a fast car that Punto though, no doubt about that. Remember the clock is in km, so looks faster than it actually is though.

Oh I understand revs thanks, I was just so confused as to why you was so suprised to see a car engine hitting 9k...and to say you thought only bike engines only hit those kind of revs was even more funny. I was actually trying to get you to clarify what you had said just incase you made a mistake, in a polite way. Obviously didn't get me anywhere. At least you learned something new for the day
